Located in the Alburni Mountains massif, the Pertosa-Auletta Caves are one of the focal geosites of the "Cilento" Geopark and have two uniqueness:
they are the only caves in Italy where it is possible to navigate an underground river, the Negro;
but they are also the only ones in Europe to preserve the remains of a pile-dwelling village dating back to the second millennium BC.
With our guides, the visit to the tourist equipped caves (marked and comfortable routes) and illuminated by a latest generation system, turns into a pleasant adventure. The river offers a fascinating and unusual boat trip, immersed in a magical silence, interrupted only by the roar of the downpours of the underground waterfall.
It is possible to choose between two paths of different duration (partial and complete) that allow you to explore caves and cavities shaped by nature over thousands of years.
